Bonnie Cheng is a qualified speech pathologist currently working as a researcher for Corrective Services NSW. She holds a PhD in clinical communication. Her doctoral research, undertaken at The University of Queensland, used vignettes and interviews to thematically explore what and how information about recovery is communicated to people living with a language impairment after stroke. She has since used qualitative methods to investigate complexities at the interface of justice and mental health, and is continuing to develop expertise in the field of forensics. Beyond this, she has a passion for communicating science in creative and accessible ways.
